Hi there again,,, well, this page is gonna be stuffed full of all sorts of pics of the Fast Back Mini Monaco build up & story of how it all came about.

The "Monaco" ,as it was known, was designed & produced by a fella called "Bill Buckle", (who just happened to be a good buddy of my grandad`s) Now Bill was apparently allready pretty well aknowledged as a specialist race car builder with major success with his "Bill Buckle Zephyr special" way back in the sixties... My dad knows way more about all this than i do so i`ll try to get some stories from him at a later date,,, & also if anyone else can shed some more light on this topic then please e-mail me with the info & i`ll add it here.Cheers!

Ok,,,so,,,here we have a few small pics of the one & only "Lakis Manicas" doin his thing on the track racing a Mini Monaco somewhere here in Aust, & with some good results,,,funny lookin thing it is hey? but with the windscreen layed back quite a fair way & the roof line about 3&1/2"`s lower than std, sure made for a pretty quick little race car.

So,,,here we are at the other side of the new millenium & i`m taking on the project of re-building my dad`s old Monaco but with a twist,,, well it`s not actually twisted, it`s really a pretty dam good body shell,,, I`m the one who`s twisted as i`m setting this thing up with a Turbo charged, Twin Cam, 16valve, cyl head from a BMW K1 motorbike & stuffing all that onto a 1370cc A series mini donk & gearbox. I`ve actually produced 2 of these little weapons,,,the other one is built on top of a full house race 1160cc A series donk, with ball bearing T028 turbo & full sequential engine management system from our good friends at "Autronic". you can simply click on this "Boost-button" to see the engine conversion & build up.
