The House

The house is a comfortable three bedroom cottage on large level block.  Front and rear yards have plenty of room for kids and pets.  A rear carport is accessible for car or boat.  The front deck provides ample shaded entertaining space.

The open plan family room and kitchen is the centre of its beach house feel – casual and cosy.  The dining area seats 6 people.

The kitchen is well equipped for a self catered stay and is served by tank water.  The laundry and beach shower are connected to bore water.

A wood burning heater is stocked with fuel for colder nights.

The house can sleep 7 people in three bedrooms.  The configuration is one queen sized bed in the master bedroom, three singles in bedroom two, and two singles in bedroom three.  Two folding beds are available for additional children.  A central bathroom serves the house with bath and shower, with separate toilet.

The yard is securely fenced with 1.5m high wire & post.  Pets are welcome to share your holiday.

The Village

Venus Bay village is just 500m from the house.  There you’ll find a well stocked general store and bottle shop, a café & coffee shop, pizza shop & bar, fish & chip shop, and fishing tackle & beach shop.  All the basic needs are close at hand, five minutes walk from the gate.

Tarwin Lower Village is 5 minutes away by car.  There you will find great counter meals at the pub, a well stocked hardware store, butcher, service station and general store.

Venus Bay is a quiet village where the kids can walk to shops, to each others’ houses or to the many little reserves and parks dotted around the estate.

The Beach

The sweeping beach between Inverloch and Cape Liptrap takes in Venus Bay.  Magnificent surf meets a wide sandy beach backed by well vegetated dunes.  The coastal park between the village and the beach is great to explore.

No. 1 beach, closest to Pandora Avenue, is served by a large active Surf Club.  The beach is patrolled during summer, with safe swimming indicated between the flags.

This is an open surf beach and children should be supervised by an adult at all times.

If you’re not swimming or surfing, Venus Bay Beach is a Mecca for surf fishing.  Bring your tackle and ask the experts at the fishing shop for the finer points of advice.

Dogs are allowed on the beach west of No. 1 beach ramp from April to November.

The Inlet

Andersons Inlet is a large, protected body of water stretching from Tarwin Lower to Inverloch.  It is safe dor boating of all kinds.  Launch your tinny from the ramp at Second Estate or Tarwin Lower.  Ask the sailing club at Inverloch about sailing conditions in the tidal inlet.

Tidal movements are large so the boat ramps operate at different times of the day.  Check your tide chart for high-tide times.

Safe beaches and walks can be found towards the point.

Doyle’s Rd Beach, a short drive through the Second Estate, offers a tranquil and safe alternative to Venus Bay’s main surf beach.  With views across Anderson’s Inlet towards Inverloch, this sheltered beach is great for kids and families.  This is a great picnic spot on blustery days.
