CERAMIC STUDY GROUP Inc.

 

 
 

Membership is open to everyone interested in pottery and is dedicated to encourage the study of ceramics by means of lectures, excursions, projects, and practical classes. The Ceramic Study Group Inc. focuses its activities on the areas surrounding Sydney, Australia.

    • General Meetings

    General Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of each month(except December, and January) in the Dence Park at the Epping Creative Centre, Epping. Each month there is a guest demonstrator or speaker and the November Meeting is our AGM and we have our Annual Awards of Excellence.

    Latest Newsletter Synopsis

    • Library

    An extensive library of books on ceramics and related subjects is housed adjacent to our meeting room at Dence Park. Members may borrow books at each monthly meeting and country members may borrow by post. A Library List is available on request.

    • Slide Library and Videos

    A selection of videos on various topics of interest to potters and a number of slide kits are available for hire

    • CSG Gallery

    A selection of pottery on various topics of interest to potters

    • CSG Activity Photos

    A selection of photos of CSG activities and demonstrations

     

  • Newsletter

    A newsletter, containing many items of interest to potters is published monthly (except December and January)

    • Booklets

    Publications on a variety of subjects are published by the Group and are available for sale. They may be seen in the Library Section.

    • Permanent Collection

    The Group maintains a Permanent Collection of works by eminent local and overseas potters which is housed in Epping Creative Centre.

    • Workshops

    One- and two-day workshops are held, both participatory and non-participatory, at various times during the year.

    • Membership Subscriptions

    ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION per calendar year: $45

    JOINT MEMBERSHIP (for two persons at the same address-receiving one newsletter ) $50

    GROUP MEMBERSHIP (for clubs and organizations and societies) $50

    PARTIAL YEAR SUBSCRIPTION: (new members only after June 30th) : $25

    NEW STUDENT MEMBERSHIP (1st time member only) 50% of a Subscription.. Student card required for presntation.

     

    • CSG Glaze Manager (NEW)!

    A computer program for the calculation and storage of Glaze Recipes.
