What is Inclusion?
- Inclusion is the full participation of a person who has a disability in the community.
- Inclusion is providing people who have a disability the same opportunities and access to services
that are available to others in society.
- Inclusion is the recognition of people who have a disability as valued members of the community.
What is Inclusive Education?
- Inclusive Education is the full enrolment of children who have a disability in a mainstream class
at their local or chosen school with the appropriate support networks.
- Inclusive Education enables children who have a disability the opportunity to participate in the
same social, sporting and academic opportunities as other children in their school.
- Inclusive Education is the recognition of children who have a disability as valued members of the
school community.
